Below information is provided just for the understanding of our prospective customer about the attributes and features of EasyLife. EasyLife is an online Term Life Insurance Plan that can be bought very easily from EasyLife App or Website of Guardian Life.
Term life insurance is a simple life insurance plan that guarantees the payment of Sum Assured on death or Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) of the Policyholder during the continuation of the Policy.
"Total & Permanent Disability (TPD)" shall mean (whichever applicable): a) The disablity whether caused by bodily injury or disease, preventing the Assured from engaging in any occupation for reward or for profit, for the remainder of his/her lifetime, as a result of accidental bodily injury or disease. The Assured must able to justify a registered occupation, whether employed or self-employed, on the date of accident or disease, according to the cause of the state of TPD. There must be a minimum consolidation period of 12 continuous months of total disability before a TPD claim can be reported to the Company and recognized. b) "Presumptive Disability" shall mean the occurence of any of the following: 1. Total and irrecoverable loss of sight of both eyes; 2. Severance of two (2) limbs at or above wrist or ankle ;
Your nominee will get full Sum Assured in case of death and you will get full sum assured in case of your Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) in accordance with the terms and condition of EasyLife policy
The Coverage amount is the sum assured or assured amount of the Policyholder. The Coverage amount will be payable to the nominee in case of death of the Policyholder and to the Policyholder in case of Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) of the Policyholder
Any customer meeting following conditions can apply for EasyLife:
  1. Good Health
  2. Have NID/Smart Card
  3. An income tax assesse
  4. Have regular income and
  5. Age between 18 to 45 years
I am currently not receiving any treatment, have not been treated or have not been told to have any treatment for Cancer/AIDS/Kidney, Liver or Lung Disorder/Brain Diseases/Heart or Blood Diseases and I am not currently totally or partially disabled to work due to sickness or an accident and I do not have any physical impairment or psychiatric illness or any mental or nervous disorder. I also declare that I have not been (1) totally disabled to work due to a sickness or accident for 15 days or more continuously during the past two years; (2) hospitalized for 5 or more days continuously during the past two years; (3) treated for alcohol or drug abuse.
You can avail Sum Assured/Coverage from BDT 1 lac to 10 lacs.
You can take the coverage for 10 to 25 years.
An insurance premium is the amount of money that a policyholder pays to the insurance company for his/her insurance policy. The amount of insurance premium depends on the Sum Assured, Insurance term and the age of the policyholder. For EasyLife, insurance premium is to be paid annually by using MyGuardian App
Stamp fee is determined based on the Sum Assured. Insurance companies collects the stamp fee from the policyholders and deposits to Government exchequer. Stamp fee is payable only once for the whole term of the policy along with the 1st premium.

You need to provide very few basic personal information (i.e. name, address, annual income, NID, eTIN etc.) for availing EasyLife. Further, your nominee(s)’ basic information (i.e. name, address, NID, birth certificate number for minor etc.) are also required.
You need to provide softcopy of the following documents:
  1. Your photo
  2. NID
  3. Income proof (pay slip/ salary certificate/ recent bank statement (3 months)
  4. eTIN
  5. Nominee(s)’ photo
  6. Nominee(s)’ NID (if Nominee is a major i.e. age 18+)
  7. If nominee is a minor (age below 18):
    - Guardian’s NID - Guardian’s photo
Just download the App from Google Play Store/iOS Store and follow the steps by providing necessary information and documents. Once you make the payment, you will become a proud EasyLife policyholder. Immediately after making the payment you will get a confirmation SMS and Email with policy documents attached. Within next 5 working days, our representative will deliver the policy documents to your door step. You can also buy EasyLife through EasyLife web site http://easylife.myguardianbd.com/
Payment can be made from EasyLife App/web site using bKash, Rocket, Debit or Credit cards in local currency. Premiums of EasyLife is to be paid annually in advance. Once you pay the premium, you will get insurance coverage for the next one year. On the same day of next year you need to pay the premium for next one year by using MyGuardian App. However, Guardian Life offers you a grace period of 30 days. If you fail to pay the premium within the due date or the grace period, your EasyLife policy will be lapsed. Lapsed policies cannot be revived.
As soon as you buy the policy, you will get the soft copy of policy details and within next 5 working days you will get the hard copy of your policy documents. Please note that you have to sign on the office copy of the Proposal Form and return the same to our representative who delivered the documents to you.
Under no refund option, policyholder shall not get any refund of his/her deposited premium at maturity. This plan is known as “EasyLife Special” Under Full Refund option, policyholder shall get full refund of his/her deposited premium upon maturity, if no claim is made. This plan is known as “EasyLife Plus Special”
Premiums are paid annually in advance for the coverage of the year ahead (1 year). If you fail to pay any premium in due time, your policy will be lapsed and you shall no more remain in insurance coverage. No refund shall be given for “EasyLife Special” [please refer to FAQ # 17] For “EasyLife Plus Special” [please refer to FAQ # 17], after payment of at least two years premium you can get the Surrender Value. In that case you need to apply for policy surrender.
It is the amount the policyholder will get from the life insurance company if he decides to exit the policy before maturity. In this case, applicable deductions shall be applied.
An insurance policy reach “Maturity” at the end of it’s Insurance Term (please refer to FAQ # 2) if all premiums during the team are duly paid.
Nominee is the person selected by the policyholder to receive the benefit in case of death of the policyholder during the policy term in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy. For EasyLife, nominee can be your spouse, father, mother, brother, sister, son or daughter. You can select maximum 2 nominees and for all of them you need to provide nominee(s)’ details, photo(s) and NID(s).
Yes, you can select a minor nominee (age below 18). In such case you need to provide the birth certificate number of your nominee and nominate a Guardian for him/her. In such case, you have to provide Guardian’s photo and NID copy. Note that, policyholder him/herself cannot be the Guardian.
